Welcome to UCLA! There are several commute options available for faculty and staff, including discounted public transit passes and vanpool programs. Bruin Commuter Club

If you participate in any of the green commute options below, you may be eligible to join the Bruin Commuter Club (BCC). BCC gives you access to exclusive benefits such as discounted daily parking passes through Bruin Commuter Park. Join the club!

Green Commute Options
Public Transit

UCLA Transportation will subsidize at least half of your fare on six different public transit providers that offer both local express and rapid express service.

Vanpool

Our vanpool program will allow you commute to campus in one of over 160 UCLA commuter vans that serve approximately 85 Southern California communities. Both full-time and part-time passenger opportunities are available.

Carpool

Save money on parking permit fees and gas by carpooling! If you do not have a partner to share the ride, you can find a fellow Bruin to carpool with through Zimride.

Bicycling

UCLA is home to around 2,900 bike parking spots, including enclosed and secure bike lockers. Faculty and staff can also purchase a discounted Commuter Passport from UCLA Recreation for access to shower facilites on campus.

Walking

When you walk to work or to Westwood for lunch, you’re doing something good for yourself and the environment. You’ll be physically healthier, have a better mental attitude and your footprints will be carbon-neutral!

Parking Permits for Faculty and Staff

In order to park on campus, all UCLA employees must purchase and display a parking permit, regardless of work shift or parking location. Your department's commute coordinator is responsible for the administration of your parking needs.
