What is it?

Bruin Bikes for Employees offers current University employees free two-week bike rentals. Participants can select between a Felt Verza Path 2 or a Sanyo Eneloop E-Bike and are allowed to renew the rental once, if there are no other rental requests. Each bike includes:

  • Helmet
  • U-lock
  • Front and rear light
  • Rack pack

How do I rent a bike?

To rent a bike, UCLA employees should sign up here or contact the UCLA Bike Shop at bikecenter@recreation.ucla.edu. If a bike is available, participants will be invited to pick-up the bike at their earliest convenience during normal hours of operation.

If there are no available rentals, employees will be placed on a waiting list and contacted by the UCLA Bike Shop when a bike becomes available.

Please note: The UCLA Bike Shop is closed for the first week-and-a-half of each quarter, during Finals Week of each quarter, over Academic Breaks, and on Federal Holidays.

Where do I pick-up and return my rental?

Bike rentals and gear can be picked-up and returned at the UCLA Bike Shop located at the Northwestern corner of the John Wooden Center on the UCLA campus. Rentals can be kept for two-week periods and can only be renewed if there is no waiting list.

If all rental gear is not returned or properly renewed within the two-week time frame, employees will be responsible to pay a $5-per-day fine until all equipment is returned to the UCLA Bike Shop.
