Available Positions

Student Parking Assistant, UCLA Parking Services

Parking Assistants serve as UCLA ambassadors by providing valuable information about the campus, assisting guests, staff, faculty and students and selling parking permits to campus visitors. Student Parking Assistants are eligible to purchase a campus parking permit.

Pay Rate: $11.25/hour with promotional opportunities up to $12.00/hour

Schedule: up to 32 hours a week (based on events)

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work mornings, nights, weekends and holidays (preferred)
  • Must be a current and registered UCLA student


Parking Programs Student Assistant, UCLA Parking Services

Under the general supervision of the Parking Programs Manager, provide administrative, general office, and cashiering support to the Parking Programs Office. Perform administrative tasks that require excellent communication skills, initiative, discretion, confidentiality, and the ability to interact with all levels of the University community. Provide e-mail support, calendar coordination, and meeting scheduling. Provide telephone coverage, take messages when appropriate, and check voicemail. Prepare support documents for presentations, meetings, and publications using word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software. 

Pay Rate: $11.25/hour 

Schedule: 20 hours a week 

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work effectively under continual interruption and changing priorities
  • Skill in writing grammatically correct proposals, planning documents, and synopses
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Excellent writing skills to prepare agendas and summarize meeting notes with speed and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent computer skills using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish working relationship with a variety of staff and customers in person as well as on the telephone

Parking Enforcement Operations Assistant, UCLA Parking Services

Parking Enforcement Operations Assistants help with the various duties that UCLA Parking Enforcement handle both in the field and in administrative role. Daily responsibilities include seeing to the upkeep of enforcement vehicles and equipment, as well as maintaining files and documents for the office. Operations Assistants will also play an integral role in traffic control and direction during some of the major campus events.

Pay Rate: $11.25/hour 

Schedule: on average 20 hours a week 

Qualifications:

  • Must have a driver's license
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to walk and stand unaided for long periods of time
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to work well under pressure with developing situations on campus
  • Knowledge of campus geography is a plus
  • Ability to work mornings, nights, weekends and holidays (preferred)
  • Must be a current and registered UCLA student


Student Operation Coordinator, UCLA Parking Services

Operation Coordinators support the Transportation Field Operations Manager by responding to campus alerts and requests regarding UCLA's parking equipment. Event Support Team Member, UCLA Parking Services

Event Support Team Members assist with the day to day parking operations and preparedness of the campus for current and upcoming events. This includes maintaining and deploying signage, as well as traffic mitigation, for events. They are also responsible for the conservation and distribution of emergency control supplies such as cones and barricades.

Pay Rate: $11.25/hour

Schedule: 22 hours per week, on average

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work mornings, nights, weekends and holidays (preferred)
  • Must be a current and registered UCLA student
  • Ability to safely lift up to 30 lbs
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work well under pressure with developing situation on campus
  • Possess valid Driver License
  • Knowledge of campus geography is a plus
